Careers
From the date of hire, firefighters are under a 12-month probationary period to complete any necessary training and/or certifications. Uncertified firefighters will attend a 10-week Firefighter1, Firefighter2, HazMat Awareness certification class in Forsyth Georgia at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Successful completion and certification of this class within the 12-month probationary period is a requirement of employment.
Additionally, we know firefighting is a physically demanding profession. Applicants must successfully complete the timed PRE-HIRE FUNCTIONAL FITNESS ASSESSMENT to move forward in the hiring process.
