The Training Division’s roles and responsibilities are to develop and conduct the training of departmental personnel in all capacities as it relates to recruit, line-staff, special operations and emergency medical services disciplines.
As a division their responsibilities are not only meeting and maintaining accreditation with Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council, but to also provide professional development of the organization’s personnel. The Cordele Fire Department has a Career Ladder in place that outlines the minimum training and professional development required for Firefighters, Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains.
