
Municipal Court
Judge
Culpepper has served as Municipal Court Judge for the city of Cordele
since 1980. He graduated from Crisp
County High School in 1963, where he played in the band and served
in various school activities, including Key
Club and organizer of Reunions since graduation.
He received
his Undergraduate Degree from Mercer Univertsity, Macon, Ga; in 1967 where he was vice president
of Sigma Nu Fraternity and participated in various college musical programs
and campus sports. Judge Culpepper graduated from Mercer University School
of Law in1970 and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and Florida.
He has practiced general law in Cordele since 1972, centering on Real
Estate, Probate, Corporate, Buisness and Governmental Law, while at times
representing the State of Georgia as a special assistant to the Attorney
General in Condemnation cases and serving as Special Master and CourtReceiver
for the Superior Courts.
He served
a term on the Georgia State Bar Board of Governors in the early 1990's.
He maintains his certification as a Municipal Court Judge by attending
the required seminar sessions for Continuing Judicial Education. Judge
Culpepper has addressed the Judge's Seminar.
He has
a son Jackson and lives on a small farm where he raises pecans, donkeys
and chickens. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, banjo, guitar, collecting
coins, light carpentry, target practicing, boating, and spending quality
time with his son. He teaches an adult Sunday School Class at the First
United Methodist Church in Cordele.
