Ann Hill Barefoot
The Finance Director for the City of Cordele is Ann Hill Barefoot. Ann is a graduate from Crisp County High School and Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, GA. In addition to holding a Bachelor’s degree, Ann is also a Certified Finance Officer and Certified Local Government Manager through the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. She has many years of government experience including ten years of direct experience, creating and then managing a county finance department.
The Finance Director of the City of Cordele provides budgetary and financial guidance to the Cordele City Commission, City Manager and City Departments. Additionally, the Finance Director oversees the Finance Department’s Divisions: Budget & Accounting, Bookkeeping, Utility Billing and Customer Service. The Finance Director plans, organizes, leads, and monitors the financial activities of the government and is responsible for the day to day management of Cash Receipts, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit Functions, City Investments, Budget and Capital Improvement Planning and Monitoring, and Revenue and Expenditure Forecasting.
